Please do not forget to pack a BIG lunch each day you come to camp. Campers tend to get very hungry since we are so physically active throughout the day.
Some kind of bag or backpack will make it easier to keep each camper’s belongings together. Please send one that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. We also suggest throwing in a grocery sack for wet towels or clothes, or the occasional pair of muddy shoes.
Bring a water bottle you can refill. We drink a lot!
Although we all expect to get dirty out on the farm, we ask that you bring at least one change of clothes just in case. Sometimes we get a little extra wet or messy with certain crafts and chores.
Please apply sunscreen in the morning before you arrive, and bring sunscreen to reapply later in the day. This is important!
It is much more comfortable to walk around in sandals after our time in the pool, so bring them if you have them. You will need a swim towel at this time of the day as well. (Crocs are great too!)
If you have boots for riding, please have them on when you arrive each morning. They will protect your feet during time with the horses and while doing chores. A good pair of tennis shoes will do if you do not have boots.
Cowboy, baseball, or otherwise are all acceptable. Just make sure you have one that helps to block the sun!
We are all here to work with horses and spend time outdoors! Please leave cell phones at home. This is also a safety precaution, so we appreciate your support with this. If for some reason you need to bring it, it will be securely tucked away for the day and brought out only when necessary and to be used under supervision. Thank you!
